If many EB3-I folks are getting GCs then why is EB3-I PD stuck in 2001? Shouldn't it move?
One other note; those eb3 to eb2 conversoins original priority dates were 2003 in eb3.

Since we are in a fighting mood, I will throw some fuel to the fire :) :)
When you think about it, reservation and quota system is actually a better deal for the upper caste.
First check out this picture, which details the population percentages and proposed reservations: File:PopulationEstimations.jpg - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:PopulationEstimations.jpg)
As per the above picture, 52% of people in India belongs to Backward classes according to Mandal estimates. Since the proposed reservation for them is 27%, the reservation system works in favor of Forward classes as long as Backward classes are not uplifted from their current pathetic situation. Another way of looking at the graph is that 25.5% of people in India belongs to forward classes; and their share in the Indian pie in terms of higher education of job opportunities --> (100 - 27 - 22.5 = 50.5%). Personally I like this system, than 25.5% of us getting only 25.5% of our share.
To conclude:

This is what puzzles me, on one hand you tell us 'You couldn't even begin to imagine how many cases like this there are'....
Which is exactly I have been saying, unless we do something EB3 India could be waiting for a decade or 2...
But on the other hand if I want to address this issue in a manner which could see least resistance, you tells me I'm living in 'Utopia', administrator threatens to 'Ban' me ????

Let me give you a story:
On one of my teams; there was a super star supervisor. He was accused of having inappropriate e-mails.
HR wanted him fired and opened up a big investigation. His manager comes to me and tells me that we have to do everything possible to save him as he is a very key person and irreplaceable.
I went upto HR with my boss to tell them that this particular person could not be fired under any circumstance and that we should let this indiscretion go.
They should be and my boss the e-mails. The e-mails basically were so male chaveunistic and racist. I probably had sent these types of funny jokes in my career and so had my boss and probably so have all of us. We didn't think it was a big deal when taken in context but we had to risk our own credibility and fight with HR to save him. In the process of doing so; we would have lost our credibility with the evidence against him. Even if we fought it; we would have still lost but it would have stained our reputation with HR area by trying to fight for this guy.
Now; senators/congressmen who don't have much knowledge and you present to them why the country quota, etc., should be changed; will be given evidence through their research of what is going on with h-1b, labors in fast procesing states, etc., In this environment where there is sentiment against immigration it will fall on deaf ears and maybe even skew things in the future for you with the politicians because they are getting insight into this stuff at the wrong time.
Take my example of adopting newphew. As I said this isn't the only case; when they start seeing that number of people from India is due to many causes (arranged marriage and adding dependents always from India after they arrive here; staffing companies, h-1b violations, etc, etc.,); the circumstances are not on your side. This is the fourth recession I am living through in this country. In just about each one; immigrants bore a dispropritanate share of blame for the countries ills.

I received 2-emails one 9/5 and one on 9/9 with the same message saying my EAD card production Ordered. I don't know why they have sent 2 emails.
I am still waiting for my wife's approval. Even though we applied on same day.

I'm confused!
I am July 2nd filer from last year. I did receive a FP notice in Oct 2007 but couldn't go for it. I sent a letter asking for another date but TSC..So go figure!
Now my FP is not done and I am current next month.
My company does only paper based filing for EAD. (Is e-filing costly?)
Will I not get any FP notice again?
I have tried calling TSC and no response after putting a SR. I tried dropping in at an ASC here and they didn't take my FP either..
Does paper based filing not trigger FP? Is it slower?
Hmm, urs is a unique case, but as far as i can tell u need to have FP done, that is the process, your lawyers may be able to help, have u contacted them?

I belongs to TSC category but my lawyer sent my application to Nebraska.When I check the status online, says "case received in TSC"!! but Only the AP and EAD Checks are cashed. The I485 & FP checks are not yet cashed. Do any one come across like this?.

People have been thinking that all along and have been lying motionless like a crocodile doing sunbath. USCIS have been retrogressing the Visas and at the same time consistently wasting Visa numbers every years. Shouldn't they have already been sued for that. We'll not do anything today just because it take 2-3 years. But what if they screw us again after 2-3 years. Dodn't you think we should keep fighting for injustice even if the benifit may not come to our generation but should pass to coming generation. If every body will become so much short sighted nobody would care for global warming, alternative eneryg options etc...

Hey UN, with your experience, are you seeing a pattern of denials, etc happening to non bodyshopper, non consultants as well? as in, is this whole DOL/USCIS crack down across the board or is it mostly restricted to desi consultants/bodyshopers?

Spouse can stay in the country as far as her/his 485 has been applied before EB primary got a GC and after EB primary PD was current.
It WILL matter if while filing 485 EB & EB dependents have to use EB PD & FB PD respectively because then it could happen that EB primary got GC but EB dependent was never able to file 485.
In most cases it WON'T matter if while filing 485 EB & EB dependents can both use EB PD.
So if EB Dependents can use FB Quota but EB PD that would be really good for us. Off course clarification from attorney is always a good idea.
Our intention is to findout if CIS interpretation is correct. If spouse can stay in the country with EAD and AP and if Primary gets GC first. It won't matter much becos, that EAD will not have any strings attached on same or similar etc. So we should be OK.

My question to you was if no H1B is "permanent" (as you opine), then how can you prove that the AC20 job on H1B is or isn't "permanent?" So if that job is not "permanent," how do you convince/mention that in as RVE-EVL?
Because Future GC job could be same job on H-1B, only difference being on H-1B your job has fixed end date (noted by I-94), and GC job has no fixed end date, hence permanent. It does not make that current job on H-1B permanent.
Temp Job and Permannet Job can have same job title and job duties. Just like contract job and full-time job can have same job title and job duties, but one is employee of the company and other one is not.
