My english is very poor. I know how to write programs and manage people but cannot write professional letters. So was hoping if some kind soul can help me out here...
Why are you looking for someone else to write a letter in 'english' for you? You are EB2 , IIT graduate, IVY league for heaven's sake and you cannot even write in good english?

Some of my cousins and friends who are just leaving college (even the prestigious IIT's) are unwilling to come to the US.
If they do come here, they are reluctant to go after the "GC". They want to wait for a few years, and would embark upon the journey only if there are any "fixes" in the EB GC system.
If not, there are several developed countries that take point based immigrant visa applications and give you a decision in a year or two.
Most of these young friends have already made plans to apply to these countries. Those who qualify have already applied. In one case, a friend whose H1B did not go through last year, immigrated to Australia. (Both he and his wife also found a job in less than a month.)
2, I can appreciate your position. You have already spent several years here, and yet no decision in the sight. If possible, you could still create a fall-back option like Canada/UK/Australia. A PR in these countries might give us easier access come back to the USA later (although not permanently).

Based on my brief experience with the American legal system (i.e., my greedy blood-sucking incompetent immigration lawyer), I don't think I want to get entangled in the American legal system.

My prayers are with you, man. Do not lose hope and fight for your life! You condition fits a reason for expedite processing. Fax expedited request to the service center where your I-485s are pending. Attach supporting documents. Call the USCIS customer service, they will tell you all the details, including fax number for this.

I filed 485/EAD/AP on May 31st and TSC received on June 1st. My checks haven't been cleared yet. TSC is said to be the slowest one. In a chinese forum, several people whose PD became current on June 1st got 485 approved recently. Their cases were all transferred to NSC recently.
BTW, how long will it take to get EAD? I sort of remember that it takes at most 3 months.

I just got this email... I have no idea what ADIT means... Does this mean approval? Good luck to those still waiting .. especially the EB3 crowd...

I would request as whole us know that CIR will not comeup this yeat..I would request if there is any plan IV is mkaing in this regard. I dont think waiting until end of July and then proceed for new bill is good way...
I would request to look for some alternatives from now itself..atleast filing 485 under retrogression and 3 year ead/ap..

No I did not...the date before it was of back in 2008.
My PD is Jan-17-2006 at NSC.
I got another soft LUD today but no change to my 485 status.
What does this mean ? I already got my approved EAD card 2 weeks back and the only thing pending is the 485 application.

Yes .. you can start a company on h1 ..
but as per h1 laws .. you can only work for your employer
So essentially you cannot do any work for your company .. no soliciting business, HR .. nothing.
So what you do is partner with someone who is on GC .. so you can get work done .. or hire employees for everything.
Starting company is easy LLC, C, S corp .. no issues

Hi
I came to us on H4 in 2007 and the got my H1B in 2008. I am not getting a job on H1 yet so i want to know that till when the H1B be valid as I am not genarating any salery and my consultant is not running my pay roll ?
And if the H1 goes dorment then what can be done next?

Yes they may be by some people. But the rules of this forum state quite clearly, that cussing is NOT welcome. This website is often frequented by members of the Senate/Congress (not the actual lawmakers themselves ofcourse, but their support staff). Do we really want them to see "highly skilled professionals" cussing left and right on them? No.
Just because the IV moderators cannot moderate this forum 24/7 does not mean that we take advantage and post garbage on here

Could you provide details on your POA (Plan Of Action) .. how are you going to go about facing them, confronting them, demanding justice? I'd be happy to pitch in.
Like i said, we ask them to do either one of 2 options. If they dont, we file a lawsuit ( obviously its understood the ground work is done )

I am a 2 July 2007 filer. Many SR's and calls later no FP.But I applied for EAD and AP renewal last week.I got the FP notice in mail today.
So I think that the renewal may trigger a FP notice.

EB-3 porting to EB-2 is ging to slow down EB-2. Everybody is fighting over this, btu has anybody tried to find actual number associated with porting? Mr. O said "thousand"..well..how many..4000, 5000, 10,000......all the calculation done on another thread already have accounted for about 6000 porting, per year..
Remember folks, these days companies are shying away from immigration related stuff, so for an EB-3 individual to be able to file in EB2 is not as easy as it sounds. I personally know 4 guys, one IT and 3 non-IT, whose companies have simply refused to entertain any request for upgrading the EB category.
So, laro matt..
Help IV to work in the direction of STEM Exemption, Visa recapture, dependent count elimination, country cap removal etc. Personally, I think STEM exemption should be the easiest to accomplish, but hey, we all know the ground reality.

I think what has happened here is that DOS was frustrated with the pace in which USCIS was processing applications. So in order to push them to work faster, they made all categories current. This strategy worked and USCIS approved 60,000 visa in 15 0r 20 or however many days.
Then USCIS communicated with DOS that annual quota has been exhausted and thus DOS published the revised bulletin.
My 2 cents.
but why in 15 days? They had upto Sept 2007 to use up those numbers. So they worked overtime to make sure they dont have to accept new applications. Can they atleast admit to that?
We got screwed by them, and they claim (see the smug look on Condi's face) it was all a matter of course, nothing extraordinary.

Looks like the EAD CPO email is based on the category EB3 or EB2.I have seen EB2 people that applied at the same time as a EB3 and the EB2 folks are getting approvals.
I have applied on Jul 10th and there is nothing for me.I have see atleast 4-5 people who have filed at the same time as me or even after me and got approvals.
Is the EAD renewal also driven by
1) Labor PD
2) The fact that you are current or not as per current bulletin.
